To ensure human survival, anyone differing is removed from society.

Episode 1:
2209: At 15, outsider Cam still hasn’t developed a biological sex and is classified as Ungendered, a threat to society. She hates her impure body and hides behind Liddy, her best friend, and her mother, Sonia.
Liddy, 16, has already undergone The Change, and to her dismay, is biologically male. Appearing brazenly fearless in her feminine clothing, Liddy defies society’s expectations.
2204: William, 59, a high-level, powerful politician, works with the Diversity Commission (DC), advocating for purity laws and upholding his family legacy. When his youngest child, Tonia, 12, discovers she’s Ungendered, she hands herself into the authorities to protect her family. In the DC experimental facility, she is forced to undergo further tests, and when they reveal unique powers, to train in absolute obedience, even when faced with killing innocents. The family’s division deepens as William refuses to intervene, causing a rift with his aristocratic wife, Lina.
2209: repressed Prissy, 33, Liddy’s mother, suffers under her abusive marriage to Aaron, 37, a devout follower of the Holistic Laws. Her aim is to protect her children from a cruel society and her husband, but she is powerless when Aaron decides to send Liddy away.
When Cam and Liddy learn they will be detained in experimental facilities, they flee to join the Resistance. On a secret base, the Resistance teach Cam about the powers some Ungendered develop, which the government wants to harness for their own purposes. Cam learns about Apriori Pex Cells in her body, which give her the ability to manipulate vibrations. Cam is not an Ungendered. She is an Apex.
